So Many times our customers ask us about the differences and uses of the 2 pumps, The Extra Deepwell Hand Pump and the Normal Mark 2 handpump. Basically the short answer is this : Extra Deepwell is a version of Mark 2 hand pump which is suitable for a water table depth of 50 to 90 meters whereas the normal mark 2 works from a depth of 15 to 50 meters. Importance of Quality Packing for Hand Pumps
I am often asked why SKI pumps are more expensive compared to some other low cost suppliers. One of the reasons is how we pack the pumps. We understand that once we dispatch the pumps, they have to not only undergo a long journey over potentially rough and inclement weather, they will also be transshipped at various places and they will undergo multiple changes of vehicles, loading, unloading , maybe long term storage etc before they are commissioned.
